User Status Management

The User Status Management APIs, available as part of the User Management suite for J.P. Morgan Access®, streamline user administration across portal applications. Security Administrators use these APIs to reactivate, deactivate, or delete user access to help maintain accurate control of permissions when an employee’s status changes.

Capabilities

User Status Management APIs provides the following functionality:

  • Get users by user ID: Search for a specific user on your client profile and retrieve their profile details.
  • Search users: Get a comprehensive list of all users on your client profile, including their statuses and associated applications, to support detailed reporting and user management.
  • Modify user status: Adjust user access status, such as activation or deactivation, to help maintain precise control over permissions.
    • Deactivate user: Set a user's status to inactive when they temporarily can't access your applications but are still employed, such as during maternity or extended leave.
    • Activate user: Change a user's status to active when they return to work and need access to your applications again.
    • Delete user: Remove a user's profile from your applications when they leave the company.
  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) integration: Enable integration of user management functionalities into client ERP systems, automating access control processes.

How it works

User Status Management operates by interfacing with our Payments API, allowing for integration into client ERP systems. The API endpoints facilitate real-time updates and management of user profiles, so that changes in user status are reflected across systems in real time.
