This release delivers a more flexible, intuitive, and efficient payment experience for restaurant and hospitality merchants in the US region. This update introduces Tip on Receipt for post-transaction tip adjustments, Bar Tabs for seamless tab management and settlement, and a new Launcher home screen for streamlined device navigation and enhanced security. The release also includes expanded restaurant reporting, improved receipt reprint capabilities, and UI enhancements, empowering staff and managers. The release also resolves key defects, ensuring consistent language localization, accurate credential-on-file processing, stable gift card handling, reliable tab management, and robust transaction processing across all supported terminal environments.

New

New features for v3.0.02.47:

New Feature
Feature name Details
Tip on Receipt
  • Enables Tip Adjust, also referred to as Tip on Receipt, on Axium android line of devices.
  • Restaurants and hospitality merchants add or adjust tips after the initial sale.
  • Initiate Tip Adjust from the main menu for transactions in the open batch before end-of-day settlement.
  • You must tip adjust all transactions—even if the tip is $0—before batch close.
  • Adjusted transactions are marked as ADJUSTED for audit and reconciliation.
  • Enables post-authorization tip entry and adjustment for credit transactions.
  • Supports traditional tip-on-receipt workflows common in US table-service restaurants.
  • Search for transactions by multiple criteria: card number, server or clerk, amount, invoice, or approval code.
  • Accurately updates and reflects tip amounts in transaction records and end-of-day reports.
  • Compatible with multi-user/server environments for accurate tip attribution.
  • Not supported for PIN Debit, EBT/Food Stamps, or Mail Order/Telephone Order (MOTO) transactions.
  • Available only for US merchants in this release.
Bar Tabs
  • Enables bars and hospitality merchants to open, manage, close, or delete a running tab when the final transaction amount is not known at the start of the consumer visit.
  • Open Tab -  Merchants initiate an Open Tab transaction, placing an authorization hold on the consumer's card and allowing consumers to order throughout their visit without repeated payments.
  • Increase Tab - Merchants perform one or more Increase Tab operations as additional purchases are made, increasing the authorization hold to accommodate the growing tab.
  • Close Tab - Merchants finalize and capture the total tab amount at the end of the visit. In the US, tip adjustments are available after the tab is closed.
  • Delete Tab - Merchants void the Open Tab transaction and release the authorization hold when the consumer chooses another payment method, such as cash or check.
  • In the US, the tip can be adjusted after the tab is closed.
  • In the US, Bar Tabs cannot be combined with other open transaction types (for example, pre-auths or holds).
  • Not supported for PIN Debit, EBT/Food Stamps, or MOTO transactions.
  • Only one Open Tab per card per merchant location is supported at a time. Multiple Increase Tab operations can be performed, but they always relate to the initial Open Tab using the same card.
Launcher
  • Provides a centralized home screen experience for payment terminals.
  • Available for Standalone, Semi-Integrated, and On Device Semi-Integrated modes.
  • Branded interface with merchant logo, colors, and branding is set up remotely for consistency across all devices.
  • Displays only relevant applications and features to streamline operations and reduce training requirements.
  • Enhances security with password protection, application controls, and automatic admin timeout capabilities.
  • Supports multiple languages and regions for global deployments.
  • Accessibility features include screen reader support, adjustable font sizes, and high-contrast modes.
  • Quick access to device info and installed software versions for troubleshooting and compliance.
  • Enables centralized device management through dynamic configuration and estate-wide updates.
  • Provides guided navigation, access to relevant applications, security controls, and device-management options.

Release v3.0.01.20

This release delivers a more secure, intuitive, and efficient payment experience across all supported environments. This update introduces Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) for enterprise merchants in standalone, service mode, and semi-Integrated modes, expanded DCC reporting, improved tip entry and calculation, and enhanced cardholder language support. Additional improvements include greater accuracy and reliability across all transaction types, clearer messaging, and broad stability enhancements.

The release also addresses key defects, ensuring consistent language localization, accurate receipt handling, reliable Store and Forward (SAF) uploads, robust transaction processing, and seamless integration with Apple Pay and semi-integrated environments.

New

New features for v3.0.01.20:

New Features
Feature name Details
DCC - enterprise standalone, semi-integrated and service mode
  • Allows eligible international cardholders to pay in their home currency instead of the local currency at the point of sale.
  • DCC is supported for US and Canadian merchants.
  • The conversion is powered by Fexco.
  • The cardholder sees the exact amount charged in their home currency at the time of purchase, and the rate is locked at transaction time.
  • Merchant settlement occurs in USD or CAD — there is no foreign exchange risk to the merchant.
  • DCC eligibility determination and currency conversion are handled within the terminal/payment application layer. No additional API-side logic is required for conversion processing.
Three new reports are available for DCC-enabled merchants
  • Terminal Detail Report - Line-item detail for all DCC opted-in transactions in the local batch.
  • Terminal Summary Report - Summary of DCC transactions in the local batch, represented in base currency.
  • Terminal Balance Report - Summary of DCC transactions per foreign currency in the local batch; also includes totals for transactions where DCC was offered but the cardholder opted out (non-DCC).

Changes
Feature name Details
Tip entry and calculation improvements
  • The Custom tip prompt now displays an Enter TIP header.
  • The tip percentage selector now shows the actual tip amount, such as 15% = $15.00, instead of showing the new subtotal.
  • Custom tip entry is simplified so users can enter two digits for percentage, such as 15 for 15%, with no trailing zero required.
  • The Confirm Amount screen now provides an itemized breakdown of subtotal, taxes, tip, and total before authorization.
Cardholder language preference support
  • Cardholder prompts and receipts automatically display in the card’s preferred language, including French or English.
  • Merchant-facing prompts and receipts continue to follow the merchant’s configured language.
  • Priority is given to Quebec store configurations with French-first support.

Error handling and user messaging Error handling is enhanced, and on-screen messages are clearer across transaction flows.
Stability and performance General stability and performance improvements provide a smoother merchant and cardholder experience.
