Overview
Use the Wire Transactions 1 API to initiate secure, high-value wire transfers, including foreign exchange (FX) wire flows where available. The API validates requests through a structured process to support straight-through processing and compliance controls, and it processes digitally signed payment instructions across the Western Hemisphere (WHEM), Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and Asia Pacific (APAC) regions.
This approach supports both domestic and cross-border wire use cases through a consistent integration model. The API returns clear identifiers and response details and enables downstream status tracking to simplify reconciliation and operational visibility.
Availability
Wire Transactions 1 is availabile in the following regions:
- North America (NA)
- Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA)
- Asia Pacific (APAC)
- Latin America (LATAM)
Payment capabilities
Wire Transactions 1 supports standard wire transfers and cross-border foreign exchange transactions. Foreign exchange conversion can be included as part of the payment transaction across eligible currencies and payment corridors, depending on how your account is configured for FX services. Consult your Sales or Relationship Management team for details.
Security and authentication
The Wire Transactions 1 API uses mutual Transport Layer Security (mTLS) to secure communication between the client and server. This approach requires both client and server certificates, and the client must present its certificate during the TLS handshake. Establish clear processes to rotate certificates and manage signing keys as part of your production setup.
