Account statements

Retrieve available statements for a consented account to support workflows such as month-end account reconciliation and statement archiving.

What you can build

Use retrieved account statements to build business and operational workflows such as:

Reconcile statements with ERP and general ledger data

Use retrieved statements with data from your enterprise resource planning (ERP) and general ledger systems to support month-end account reconciliation.

Archive a system of record

Archive retrieved statement PDFs as artifacts within your system of record. Review the considerations below for statement retrieval limits.

Considerations for archiving as a system of record

When using statements as auditable artifacts within your system of record, note the following:

  • Statements with more than 400 pages aren’t supported for download through the API. For these statements, the search response returns TOOLARGE_DO_NOT_DOWNLOAD in the status and statementId fields and doesn’t return a statement download link.
  • A statement search returns up to 100 statement records per page. Use the response’s pagination information and links to retrieve additional results.
  • A statement search can cover a date range of up to three years, and the start date can’t be earlier than three years before the request date.
  • If you don’t provide a date or time range, the statement search defaults to the current month.
  • You can search by using either startDate and endDate or startTime and endTime. Don’t combine the date parameter pair with the time parameter pair in the same request.
  • Refer to the Overview page to learn more about the J.P. Morgan Direct Connect API.
  • Refer to the API specification for a complete list of required and optional parameters, error codes, and response formats.
