# Getting started

To try out the Embedded Payments API and learn how our services work, you’ll need the following:

- A J.P. Morgan Payments developer account to access your personal workspace.

- A certificate exchange between J.P. Morgan and your employer verifying that you are confirmed to work in the Client Test Environment.

- An active project in the Payments Developer Portal with the Embedded Payments API enabled.

Once you [sign in](https://developer.payments.jpmorgan.com/console/login) and create your project, you’ll be able to retrieve your workspace credentials and start making requests immediately.
