# Direct integration with Commerce

The direct integration method allows you to integrate directly with our new Commerce platform API(s). This provides the highest degree of flexibility and customization to meet your business needs and can unlock enhanced capabilities within the Commerce platform. You will also utilize Commerce Center for your end-to-end reporting.

Here are some of the benefits you gain through direct integration: 

### Enhanced application functionality

Manage your payment processing more efficiently with our enhanced application functionality.

### More intuitive client interface

Manage your account activities, transactions, consumer profiles, reporting, and disputes centrally through a more intuitive interface and with an enhanced Virtual Terminal application.

### Workflow support

Better support for APIs and virtual terminal workflows.

### Improved data security and compliance

Advanced security protocols and compliance standards help safeguard your business and consumer data.

### Improved system resiliency and scalability

Reliable performance and dynamic scalability support your business growth, even as your transaction volume increases.

What to expect: 

- Your connectivity moves to our new Commerce API(s).

- Your Orbital and Paymentech Online reporting and disputes will move to our Commerce Center portal.

- If you use Virtual Terminal, you will move to our new Virtual Terminal in Commerce Center.

- You will be asked to designate a security administrator so you can manage your own users and entitlements.
